Controlled validation operation

SECURITY · Data erasure

A device is not automatically a storage medium.

A device can contain several storage media. Every identified medium is recorded separately, assigned to a confirmed method and receives its own written result. Data erasure is part of a case — not a standalone quick service.

Principle

  • every identified medium receives its own reference and its own status
  • the method is confirmed in writing before erasure
  • a tool message alone does not lead to release — a responsible person validates the result
  • an unresolved medium blocks the closure of the case

What ITBox does not promise

  • no «100% secure» erasure
  • no «NIST-certified» erasure and no Blancco report until method and validation are evidenced
  • no data recovery and no forensic analysis

Outcome

An erasure record per medium as part of the closing documentation — with method, result and declared deviations. The public SAMPLE shows structure and information scope.

FAQ

Can I order only a data erasure?

Erasure is part of a documented case (RETURN, REBUILD or SELL), not an isolated quick service. This keeps the evidence per medium tied to the device and the handover.

What happens if a medium cannot be erased?

The medium receives the status «blocked», the case is not released and the next steps — such as physical destruction via a qualified partner — are clarified in writing.
