Controlled validation operation

RETURN · IT offboarding

One employee exit. One device. One cleanly closed case.

ITBox organises the collection of company devices, documents every handover step and delivers complete closing documentation — from a single device, with no minimum fleet and no platform project.

Responsibility gap

The account is locked. The device case is still open.

At exit, responsibility does not end with the user account. Packaging, contact, return, intake, media and closing evidence need a clear owner.

ITBox does not take the employer’s role. ITBox organises and documents the agreed device process on behalf of the company.

Two packages. One clear difference.

How far should ITBox take the case?

The prices support controlled market validation. The definitive scope is confirmed in writing before every engagement.

Review Secure

The prices apply to the controlled validation operation. Before a binding engagement you receive written confirmation of scope and price.

The definitive price depends on the device, number of media, battery condition, locks, return path and the desired result.

For a limited number of suitable cases, separate pilot terms may be offered after the review. There is no entitlement to a pilot condition.

Who it is for

For Swiss companies and system houses where a device sits outside the company and the return path needs a clear owner — from a single device to a small return case.

Scope

  • written case review and mandate preparation
  • communication and written notice for the departing person
  • coordination of packaging, shipping and tracking
  • documented intake with device and handover reference
  • optional: controlled data erasure and closing documentation (ReturnKit Secure)

Gates and stops

  • unresolved ownership stops the case
  • active locks (MDM, Autopilot, Activation Lock) are never bypassed
  • damaged or swollen batteries are excluded from standard shipping
  • no automatic release — a responsible person decides

Outcome

A documented intake per device, media recorded separately and — depending on the package — complete closing documentation with a clear next decision.

Documents

  • handover and intake records
  • closing documentation (public SAMPLE available)
  • employee notice (public SAMPLE available)

FAQ

From how many devices is a return possible?

From a single device. Cases with more than ten devices are reviewed separately in writing.

Does the departing person have to call or create an account?

No. The process is written and asynchronous. Under the employer's mandate the person receives a clear written notice with the packaging and return path.

What happens if the device does not come back?

The case stays open and documented. ITBox does not enforce the return against the person; the company decides the next steps.

When does a review become an order?

Only once scope, price, prerequisites and documents are confirmed in writing and you accept the binding terms. The online review is neither an order nor a shipping release.

Have the return reviewed in writing.
