Three paths · one process

What do you want to do with your company devices?

Every path starts with the same written review. Only then is a case opened — no device data, no uploads, no obligation.

01

RETURN

Collect the device from the employee.

  • Communication and return path
  • Tracking through to documented intake
  • Handover assigned to one process
See RETURN

02

REBUILD

Prepare it safely for the next person.

  • Inspect the device and record media separately
  • Erase data only after release
  • Provision to the agreed profile
See REBUILD

03

SELL

Review company stock and recover value under control.

  • Written capture, no upload
  • First assessment, no instant price
  • Sale, return or next step after review
See SELL

Evidence Engine

Not just done.Provably done.

The outcome of a process can reference the device, custody, storage media, technical result, deviations and final disposition.

You do not receive a loose collection of emails, but a structured closing overview of the agreed device case.

The sample shows structure and information depth. It is not a certificate and not evidence of a real customer case.

An Inquiry stays an Inquiry

From request to evidence.

The online review is not yet an order. A shipment happens only after written confirmation of scope, price and prerequisites.

  1. 01

    Inquiry

You describe the process online — no employee data, serial numbers or uploads. This is an Inquiry, not yet an order.

  2. 02

    Review

Scope, authority, device type and the desired outcome are clarified in writing.

  3. 03

    Service Order

An order exists only after written confirmation. Shipping and processing do not start before that.

  4. 04

    Processing

The device, handover and identified media are recorded separately and handled in the agreed scope.

  5. 05

    Evidence

You receive the agreed closing documentation and a clear next decision.

For IT system houses and IT partners

You run the IT. ITBox takes the physical device process.

You keep the customer, the IT context and the existing service relationship. Depending on the model, ITBox takes the ReturnKit, the physical return, documented intake and the agreed closing documentation.

ITBox does not deliver Microsoft 365, helpdesk, network, backup or cybersecurity services and does not cross-sell into those areas.

Review the partner model

Non-binding written review. No partner approval yet and no minimum volume.

Prices, branding and responsibilities are set only after scope, volume, liability and task split are clarified.

Non-binding case review

Does the case fit the current pilot scope?

The request is non-binding. Shipping and processing start only after written confirmation of scope, prerequisites and price.

Takes about 2–3 minutes

Written case review · no order, no shipment

Step 1 of 5

Who is reviewing the case?

We then show only the matching questions.

A device is not automatically a medium

Every critical step must be cleared before the case moves on.

A laptop can contain several media. ITBox therefore records not only the device but each identified medium separately. The case is closed only when the agreed status is fully clarified.

Company device1 ASSETMedium 1own statusMedium 2own statusMedium nown status
  1. 01

    Numbered handover

ReturnKit, seal and intake are assigned to the specific case.

  2. 02

    Device and media kept separate

Several media receive several results. An uncleared medium blocks closure.

  3. 03

    Unclear means stop

Unclear ownership, damaged batteries, locks or unconfirmed results are not released “on sight”.

  4. 04

    Human release

Critical decisions are not taken by a tool or an automatic message alone.

Project and processing location: Malters LU.

Insurance, transport path, technical method and partner routes are reviewed in writing before a binding live case.

FAQ

Common questions

How many devices is ITBox suitable for?

The current pilot is designed for individual devices and small return cases. The standard review starts from a single device. Cases with more than ten devices are reviewed separately.

Does the employee have to call ITBox?

No. The standard process is written and asynchronous. If clarification is needed, it is done in writing first. Human support can be organised separately if required.

Which devices fit the pilot?

The standard scope focuses on Windows business laptops, desktops and mini-PCs with HDD, SATA SSD or NVMe. MacBooks, smartphones and tablets are accepted only after individual review. Servers, RAID systems and data recovery are outside the standard scope.

What happens with a damaged or swollen battery?

Please do not ship the device. Damaged or swollen lithium batteries are excluded from the standard ReturnKit. Select “damaged” or “not sure” in the form; ITBox then reviews a safe alternative in writing.

What does documented data erasure mean?

The medium is identified, assigned to a confirmed method and the result is documented. A tool report alone does not trigger release. ITBox does not promise “100% secure” or “NIST-certified” erasure.

Why is each storage medium recorded separately?

A device can contain several media. Each identified medium receives its own result. An unresolved medium blocks closure.

What about MDM, Autopilot or Activation Lock?

Such locks must be removed by the authorised customer or their IT partner. ITBox does not bypass management or theft locks. An open lock can block the Secure process.

Does ITBox buy the devices?

ITBox does not finance speculative stock. In the SELL path a sale is reviewed as a process: a value is confirmed only after a technical review, and you decide in writing between sale, return or recycling.

Is ITBox a disposal company?

No. ITBox does not describe itself as a disposal company and does not operate its own recycling plant. If recycling is needed, it happens only through a separately qualified partner and after written release.

Can a system house use the service under its own brand?

Referral and co-branding can already be reviewed in the validation phase. White-label delivery requires a clarified contract, liability, role and quality model. The IT partner keeps the customer relationship.

When does the online review become a binding order?

Only when ITBox confirms scope, price, prerequisites, documents and operational readiness in writing and the customer accepts those terms. The form itself is not an order and not a shipping release.

Which data must I not enter in the form?

No employee names or private addresses, no serial numbers, passwords, recovery keys and no files. The Mode 1 review only needs operational facts.

Review the case before devices, data and responsibility are split across several teams.

The online review shows which path fits — return, redeployment or sale — and which prerequisites must be cleared first.
