The IT account is closed
The device case is not.
At exit, the user account is locked. The company device is still at the home office. Packaging, contact, return shipping, tracking, intake and the data question then split across HR, IT and administration. ITBox gathers the physical device case into one documented process — through to a written closing overview.
The return path is unclear, materials are missing and nobody owns the full process.
HR knows the exit, IT locks accounts, administration tracks the parcel — but the device case stays open.
Without documented intake, clarified media and a written result, it remains unclear what actually came back and what may happen next.
ITBox does not take the employer’s role. ITBox organises and documents the agreed device process on behalf of the company.
One clear process instead of scattered tasks
You submit operational facts only. No employee address, no serial number, no passwords and no files.
ITBox reviews scope, battery, possible locks and the required documents in writing. Only then is it decided whether and how the case can start.
After written release, packaging, instructions, the return path and status communication are prepared for the agreed case.
Intake is recorded under control. The device and each identified medium receive separate references. Unclear deviations stop the process.
You receive the agreed results, open deviations and a clear recommendation for the next step.
The online review is not yet an order. A shipment happens only after written confirmation of scope, price and prerequisites.

You keep the customer, the IT context and the existing service relationship. Depending on the model, ITBox takes the ReturnKit, the physical return, documented intake and the agreed closing documentation.
ITBox does not deliver Microsoft 365, helpdesk, network, backup or cybersecurity services and does not cross-sell into those areas.
Referral and co-branding are possible in the pilot. We review a white-label model individually.

A device is not automatically a medium
A laptop can contain several media. ITBox therefore records not only the device but each identified medium separately. The case is closed only when the agreed status is fully clarified.

FAQ
The current pilot is designed for individual devices and small return cases. The standard review starts from a single device. Cases with more than ten devices are reviewed separately.
No. The standard process is written and asynchronous. If clarification is needed, it is done in writing first. Human support can be organised separately if required.
The standard scope focuses on Windows business laptops, desktops and mini-PCs with HDD, SATA SSD or NVMe. MacBooks, smartphones and tablets are accepted only after individual review. Servers, RAID systems and data recovery are outside the standard scope.
Please do not ship the device. Damaged or swollen lithium batteries are excluded from the standard ReturnKit. Select “damaged” or “not sure” in the form; ITBox then reviews a safe alternative in writing.
The medium is identified, assigned to a confirmed method and the result is documented. A tool report alone does not trigger release. ITBox does not promise “100% secure” or “NIST-certified” erasure.
Such locks must be removed by the authorised customer or their IT partner. ITBox does not bypass management or theft locks. An open lock can block the Secure process.
Not as standard in the validation phase. ITBox does not finance speculative stock. Later reuse, return or another disposition is reviewed only after a separate written decision.
No. ITBox does not describe itself as a disposal company and does not operate its own recycling plant. If recycling is needed, it happens only through a separately qualified partner and after written release.
Referral and co-branding can already be reviewed in the validation phase. White-label delivery requires a clarified contract, liability, role and quality model. The IT partner keeps the customer relationship.
Only when ITBox confirms scope, price, prerequisites, documents and operational readiness in writing and the customer accepts those terms. The form itself is not an order and not a shipping release.
The online review shows whether the current case fits the pilot scope, which package makes sense and which prerequisites must be cleared first.
